Remembering Suzanne Harley

On April 29th, 2022 our dear friend Suzanne died peacefully at home at about 11:40 pm. We knew this day would come, but it is still very hard. Suzanne was an amazing, brilliant, and gifted lady, and a faithful friend to so many. I consider her to be one of those very rare, truly irreplaceable people. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

At present, Wayne and the family have not yet made any funeral plans, but as soon as we know of them, we will share them with all of you.

Wayne Harley met with Fr. Tim Alleman and all of us on our St. Stephen’s Parish Staff and we discussed a date for a memorial liturgy for Suzanne. Our dear friend and faithful alto in St. Stephen’s Choir, who traveled with us in 2015 to Winchester Cathedral and attended the RSCMA King’s College Course several times, Suzanne Harley, died after a nearly 5-year battle with cancer. The date we have set is Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00 am. Please save the date, and do pass this information on to others who may wish to know about it.

Most merciful God, whose wisdom is beyond our understanding: Deal graciously with Wayne and all of Suzanne’s family in their grief. Surround them with your love, that they may not be overwhelmed by their loss, but have confidence in your goodness, and strength to meet the days to come; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
